| Hey. Iam new to this abd buildnig my own cnc 3axis woodworking machine.. I have stepper motors, deskproto and mach3. Can i use different TPI, on different axis? or do they have to be equal? If I can, where do i make these settnings? is it in mach3? or the cam sofftware, making of the toolpath? |

| Yes, they can be different. In Mach3, motor tuning screens, you set the steps/unit to tell how many steps are required to move one unit, probably 1mm in your case.
