homeing and limits & slaving a axis

hello to all I could use a little help . I have built a 3 axis machine and have rack and pinion for x axis , y and z are 1/2 acme thread. I slaved a axis to x and machine runs great . until i hooked up the limit switches and home switches . z axis and y axis work fine . x and a is where the problem lies. I have 3 home switches and 2 limit switches for x and y only they are hooked up to pin 10, 11, 12, no limit on z will use soft limits here.
The problem is no sync. between x and a . I cannot tell if x is going 1 way and a another or if a is not homing it pops and jumps and teeth slip.
could some one who has a ac and pinion machine please post some screen shots of their set up of ports and pins , and home and limits pages as well as motor set up page so i can compare their set up to mine so i can find out where i made my mistake. I feel that i just may have a setting off.
thanks for your time and help
ps: I also have a gecko 540 and the 540 fix from mach3 installed and working
thanks

Try changing your homing script. Go to Operator menu, and choose Edit Button Script. The Ref All button should be flashing, click on it and you'll see the homing script.
Try replacing

DoButton(22)

with

RefCombination(9)

Also, in General Config, make sure that "Home Slave with Master" is NOT checked.

Sorry but my version does not have those options (bummer)
my version is 1.89 i worked around it and got it to working using the home and limits section. it seems to be happy . but i have found a second problem my program is mirrored see sample . I have got a feeling that it is in my set up in mach or it could be a code or lack of code in my program.
would you please check it out and give any suggestions that you may have.
thanks for letting me pick your brain
thanks

Your X axis is set up backwards.

Why are you using a 3 year old version of Mach3?

If you have a license, it'll work on the new versions too.

The license file just goes in the Mach3 folder, usually C:\Mach3\
