ok....tried everything so next step is to ask someone who actually knows. using Geckos 201's and Mach2 mill....controller box hooked up to steppers have great speed on motors and everything works like it should (bench testing motors, not on machine). I drew a simple outline of what I am planning of cutting (in Plastic) loaded the g code and wow 15+ minutes to cut? the piece is only 6 inches long by 4 inches wide! started to play around with settings on Mach2 but do not want to tweak things that I shouldn't be messing with... The question is....how do I speed up the actual cut cycle in Mach2? I estimated a half inch per second is my target. Are there any experts out there can help me here? |
