Like on a robotic arm you can move the arm here or there and mark the points you want to move to. Can you do this with mach3.

ie job to each point and make a mark or something?

    Hello,
Yes, it's possible but it'll need some customisations to the interface.

There's a Start Teach and Stop Teach button on the MDI page but it records the commands you input thru MDI. In order to it with point that you jog to you'd have to add a button or two to the screen so it can record the positions and write it to the file.

    Questions:
    1) Do you have any experience with editing the screens and macros inside Mach3?
    2) Are you using the standard 1024.set screen or something else?
    3) Do you want the ability to choose if each teach in point should be moved to with G0 or G1?
    4) Do you need to be able to enter a specific filename each time or is OK if the file created has the same name each time which you then simply rename after it's "recorded"?

    /Henrik.

    Screens yes, macros no.
    2) Are you using the standard 1024.set screen or something else?
Well I'm not using mach3 now at all, just looking into it.
    3) Do you want the ability to choose if each teach in point should be moved to with G0 or G1?
Not too sure what the difference between GO and G1 is? It is absolute positioning etc

Well probably would need to have differnt saved files and names. Ie this part is this path, then the next part is this part etc

    Try the Jcode plugin.

I think the CopyCat wizard will do what you want, but it's part of the Newfangled wizards which require a $50 license.

    Hi,
That's a nice one Gerry, I didn't know it existed!
After posting my previous message I played around for an hour or two and added pretty much the same functionality as in the plugin to the screen-set.

However, the plugin makes that mod pretty reduntant as long as it does what you need it to do. Let me know if it doesn't and in that case what it is you need doing that it doesn't do and I'll see if I can make it work.

    /Henrik.
