Hello all - I'm a bit of a newbie in the field of DIY CNC's, but I've been researching pretty heavily and I'm finding my way around alright (heavily thanks to CNCzone). Here's the deal. I'm looking at setting up a somewhat specialized CNC system; specialized to the point that I don't think that the Flashcut software will do what I need, but I believe Mach will. Unfortunately, I'm very much a newbie as far as driver boxes, servos, etc are concerned.. would I be able to pick up one of the driver/servo kits from flashcut (i.e. what you find here) and interface it with Mach software? I know most people use Gecko drivers with Mach, but getting involved with breakout boards and encoders and etc seems a bit over my head for right now.. if the Flashcut kit won't do, are there any other similar kits out there that would get the job done? Thanks! |
