Do you have backlash comp enabled? That's the only thing I can thing of to cause what you're seeing.
Hey guys, I've been having this problem with Mach3, but I don't know if it's Mach's fault or if my post processor is creating code that Mach doesn't like.
Ok what's happening is that Mach reads the line, rapids to the point, stops with out deceleration (loses steps), starts spindle, then continues to rapid to the point with no acceleration (losing more steps). I've been editing the code to put the M3 line before the first move, but its a pain when its a big program.Im using the MPFAN post in MasterCamX. Has anyone else had this problem? And do I have to edit the post processor to fix this?

You may have the motor tuning wrong
Press the tab key to bring out the MPG and make sure the SLOW JOG RATE is set 100%
Then try jogging you will find out by jogging if the machine behave the same as in G Code
Mach3 can only move at the speed you have set in tuning
Re the PP you should have the Offset line before a move otherwise expect to crash i can't help on editing the PP

I can rapid around just fine, no missed steps. And this only happens in lines with an m3 command. I think ill have to edit the post file to fix this, but I've never heard of this happening to anyone else...
oh yeah my computer is 933mHz, 512mb ram, 32mb vid card, win xp, and no other programs running.

Open task manager while running the g code and see if your CPU usage goes to 100% when you see the problems.
