Best way to do feed hold with no strange moves is to put lots of M1's in the code, then hit M1 on screen. Cycle start to continue. I use it all the time because feed hold MUST do strange things, because the instructions to move the machine have already been posted in the queue, and the upper level program might not stop it correctly. This is quite noticeable if using feed hold on circular interpolation. Just use lots of M1s and it will always pause at the next M1 if enabled on the screen-1 M1 key. You could even program an external switch to do this.

| thx neilw20 i think that use feed hold is risk, possible lose step. but i dont use M1 ,because I am unaware of its occurrence,If during the cutting triggered problem, I use it. Back to issue: please test it code in your pc .you will see when press feed hold and then reverse run, Z goto rapid clearance that we adjust in sheetcam. what ??? |

Can't run your code, because my machine is setup for a big job, and my wife would kill me if it stopped working. It looked OK in my NCPLot program, but that has no reverse feature. I have never used reverse with a milling cutter. Might try it one day!
