Is it compatible? I'm currently using a somewhat crap, ancient Torchmate software.. it throws exceptions and fails miserably every other import & view regen. Problem is, I looked through the Torchmate settings and saw nothing about the step/dir ports.. anyone willing to share some wisdom?

| Most Torchmate systems use Flashcut software/hardware. Older ones use serial to the pulse module; newer USB. None of that is compatable with MACH software. There are several Torchmate owners doing retrofits. Feel free to join my support forum http://groups.yahoo.com/group/candcncsupport/ You can get information on how to make the upgrade and find other guys building and retrofitting CNC plasma using our controls. Your questions are welcome. TOM Caudle www.CandCNC.com Totally Modular CNC Electronics |

| Flashcut does not make a THC. Torchmate may buy their ATHC they sell from another vendor (or make it themselves) but they are not going to disclose their contractors. You can retrofit with a Hypertherm PHC or the Torchmate ATHC. You might check EBAY there have been some used TM controllers and an ATHC in the past. Tom Caudle www.CandCNC.com |
