    Planetary gear heads

Hello I could use some advice from the pros

I am building my first plasma cutting table, and the gantry ended up being pretty heavy I would say about 160 pounds, I am pushing it with Nema 34 stepper motors

would it be a good idea to gear these down with planetary gear heads?
As it is now, it is just rack and pinion direct drive with a 20° pitch and a 1 inch diameter pinion

    hoping for some opinions thanks

Planetery gear it's a excelent option, but expensive, some one cheapest it's timing pulleys with belt drives, it's an a good option, let me show you my old cnc oxyfuel machine with nema 34 motors too:

it was one of my first cuts, the cut quality it's horrible I know, but after that was better
