Help me with Mach 3 and sheetcam please

    Hi all,

I am at the stage now in my project where I have to learn to use Sheetcam and Mach3. I am going okay with Sheetcam.

This is not connected to plasma table yet.

When I open up Mach3 for plasma. I import a gcode file that I have already drawn up in AutoCAD and that has been through Sheetcam. Then it comes up in Mach3/plasma. But the bit that I can't understand is where is the 'go' or 'start' button in Mach3 to make the thing go.

Like, what's supposed to happen. I can push my keypad arrows and sometimes it moves, and sometimes it doesn't move. How do I make it move at say 200ipm?

This Mach3 business is a bit daunting for me at the moment.

I've never used plasma, but I just took a look. Looks like the forward button makes it start.

To move 200ipm, you need to set the feedrate up in SheetCAM.

If you don't get the help you need here, email Art directly fenerty@artofcnc.ca
He should get back to you very promptly. You won't find better support.
