I recently converted my 2006 Practical CNC machine to Mach 3 with CandCNC plas-pak system. I am running steppers on the x and y and a servo on the z. I was wondering if any one may have the correct tuning profile for the motors
1:2.5 ratio on the belt drive from motor to head and 2.625 inches of travel on the rack and pinion per rotation of the pinion. I have a 5:1 travel of the ball screw on the z axis.
I tried to follow toms advice on tuning but became quickly confused over the phone. I got every thing working at this point but every thing is really slow.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
