Mach3 & GS2 VFD

Anyone set up Mach 3 to control a VFD throuugh MODBus??? I've done it through an analog output, but now I want more control through MODBus.

I'm using a GS2, which can communicate through RS-232/485.

I want to use MODBus to not only communicate frequency/speed, but also forward/reverse, which I don't think is possible on a GS2 with just the Analog signal, hence the need to go to MODBus.

Any previously written macros or hey-I-did-this would be fantastic!

its pretty straight forward to get this going. Only thing I haven't sorted out is the actual frequency control - just haven't had time.

Sweet. What port are you running it out of on your computer??? I've got a laptop that doesn't have a parallel port... or a serial port...
