Buy me a Beer?

Sounds like probably a G43 tool height compensation issue? Can you post the g-code, and let us know where it's plunging?

Buy me a Beer?

Couple questions.

Where is your Z zero set to?

What is the Z DRO position when it's plunging?

Why is the feedrate 20000?

Try changing

N4 G43H1 Z0.1 M8

to

N4 M8

and see if it still does it. If it does, it's the G43 tool length comp.

Under the Mach3 "config" "tool table" Menu do you have any tool offsets in there? If you are not using tool offsets everything should be "0"

You said that the DRO reads -.2 but the machine goes lower than that? Are you looking at Machine Cords in the DRO?
