    CUTLIST

Hi, I'm looking for a wizard where I could lay a full sheet of plywood and cut different pieces of different size in it and enter the kerfs of the router bit and be able to consider the grain of the wood while cutting and have the possibility to use tabs to hold the cut pieces together.
Is there existing wizards to do that kind of work?
    Thank you

No. If you're talking about square or rectangular parts, you want optimization software. There are some inexpensive ones, but anything that will output g-code will probably be rather expensive.

Hi, anything cheaper that could do the same job, I'm only starting with this CNC stuff and it's only a hobby for now.
    Thank you

Optimization and nesting are not exactly the same thing, and since V-Carve Pro does Nesting, I didn't think it could do it. It doesn't actually have any settings to determine grain direction. However, as long as all your parts are drawn so that te grain is running the same direction, V-Carve Pro will give you the option to NOT rotate them, keeping the grain aligned.

    I don't know if you'll find anything cheaper that'll output g-code to Mach3.

Here's a beta that will export a nested .dxf that you can use in any CAM program. http://www.cabinetpartspro.com/Part%20Nester%20Pro.htm

As for the Thermwood files, I'll guess no, but load them into Mach3 and see if you get an error.
