hi. I am trying to find the post for this question, but unable to do so. I set up a PC (P4, 1.8 Ghz) and ran MACH 3 on 3 axis mini mill with no problem. However, when I changed to "LABTOP", it DOES NOT send out any signal nor the diagnosis page doesn't see any INPUT incoming. I heard that Laptop doesn't provide enough AMP? Or could be other factors that I am not awared of.... everything else send up the same way as PC. Parallel ports work. Thank you in advanced. Jeff |

| Jeff, Pls have a look on software requirements at http://www.machsupport.com/ Mach3 Minimum Requirements: Windows 2000/XP Operating System 1Ghz CPU 512MB RAM Non-integrated Video Card with 32MB RAM Basic Computer Skills (ability to copy/rename files, browse directories, etc) Desktop PC if using the Mach3 Driver (Laptops are not supported because the power saving features of the chipsets disrupt the pulse stream) Hope this help Mongkol |

| Laptop has no wireless built in, just old model type with built in PC parallel port. US WINDOW XP So it doesn't due to the fact it send out enough current to the drive, but rather pulse signal got interupted? I saw some pictures where people did use Laptop to control CNC...so musta been some way to do it. Either way, thanks for confirmation.....will just have to do with PC for now |
