    Hello group,

If I trial run Mach3 with my printer connecter to the parallel port, can I do any damage?

    Thanks,

I dont know, but if your printer is under warrenty then just take it back if it damages it lol. I dont think any damage can be done to the pc becuase it is just software, but to be honest I dont know

    Pat,

Make Mach3 the default printer first.

That way you wont end up sending Mach3 commands to your printer.

The printer will not like what Mach3 tells it!

Also power off the printer before running Mach3.

Thank you both for the replys!

Maybe I should just unplug the parallel cable to be on the safe side.

I haven't had a printer with a parallel port in a long time, but I do have a dongle attached to my parallel port, and Mach hasn't hurt it at all in the few years I've been playing around with it.
