    Moves on command

I'm very comfortable with Mach. (Can't believe I can say that) But there's one thing I've never figured out how to do. Lets say that I am parked, no g-code loaded, and want to move from where I am to Y14. Is there a way (without writing a g-code) to enter the Y14 and go there? Thanks

Go to the MDI screen and type G0 Y14 or G1 Y14.

    Still stuck

Opened Mach, clicked MDI tab, clicked INPUT because I assume that's where one types the order. After that I couldn't figure out what to do. Tried several things but nothing happened.

Just click in the box to the right of where it says "input", and then you can type it in. Hit enter to execute. Enter again will let you type again.

    Eureka

Okay. That got it. As usual-- this stuff is all about sequences and doing them just right.
