Having a problem with this gcode file when loading into Mach3... Tried on Mach3 Stable and development versions, same results. File displays in the path window as a bunch of circles for the toolpath... very strange. Posted in bobcad V21 with the Mach3 specific post. Basically, it's my daughters name in raised letters, with the background field milled to a depth of .2" Someone mind taking a look and see if they get the same results? Amanda.txt is the gcode file and Amanda.dxf is self explanatory :-) Also, gcode file displays correctly and simulates correctly in "simulate" on Bobcad. |

I am running mach3 and using BobCad Art Prox. I am not seeing the problem in the program..they are just x&y moves. Here's my story. I am cutting a 3D sign that I programmed with BobCad Art ProX and set my step over to .03...this is when I started to have my issues. the program starts and cuts well and even the graphics look good...but around the 17 line or later the machine just takes off. My tool path is on a 45 deg. angle and it refuses to stop and continue on to the next line. It runs off in the 45 deg angle. Any one know if Mach3 has a problem processing this much info? |

| Are you using G41 or G42? I've seen that happen if using G41/G42 and lots of short line segments.

| Can you post 50 lines of code so I can see what it's doing?

| This has been re- posted. The problem seems to be gone now that the distance was changed to .06. The machine is running now. I need closer tool paths! If you see any thing let me know. I need to run a .125 ball nose and can't tighten the path. I don't want hand work! M5 M9 G0 G91 Z0. T1 M6 S0 M3 G90 G54 X0. Y0. G43 H1 D1 Z1.25 M8 X15.5287Y2.4688Z1.1 G01Z0.125F20. You do have a G41. That's probably what caused your problem. G41/G42 don't work well with lots of short G1's.

| What version of Mach are you ruunning, and do you have "enhaced comp" turned on? Some older versions had comp bugs, so a newer version might help.
