Hey Folks, I got a question. My homemade router is up and working, a few bugs to work out, but almost there, anyway I have successfully made a square and a gear So I thought I would try to make an image. I made a sample in the trial version of PhotoVcarve, but when I load the gcode into Mach 2, something weird happens. If I jog about an inch on the router, mach 2 shows about 4 inches, all 3 axes are screwed up, and it only happens when I load the photo gcode. I have to exit and come back in. Any other file, its happy with. My question is what g-code can modify my settings so an inch ain't and inch no more? Thanks!! -John |

| Using G20 and G21 is really not a good idea, according to Art. If your machine is set up in inches, make sure there is no G21 in the code.

| I meant that you shouldn't use G20 and G21 to switch between inches and mm.

Thank you for the support info, it was driving me nuts. I tried to modify the code, but just ended up driving the bit into the bed before I could slap the e-off. Hey, the router just does what the computer tells it to ![]() Thanks again, John |
