    Mach2 settings??

I built a cnc router using steppers with gecko 201 control boards using a 48 volt DC power. I am using Mach2. My stepper motors are in the holding position and won't turn. I have 24 volts DC to motors during hold. during computer boot up and of Mach2 the Z axis turns 1 or 2 steps so I am confident the the wiring is correct. Please help this amateur computer operator. thanks in advance!!!

Make sure your port settings are correct, and the correct port is assigned to each pin.

If you are in the beginning stages of set up, you might want to load Mach3 instead. It is far smoother running than Mach2 - a very noticable difference.

Take a look at the BOB (breakoutboard) to see the pin assignments and have you entered the bios to make sure the parallel port is in SPP mode?

I have checked my pins. Where do I check the bios?
    Thanks,
