Hei Magnar I don’t think there is any compatible windows software for the smc800 card. If you want to use Mach3, the card has to put out step and dir signals. I have a SMC 1500 with the additional PCB (SMC 1500Z) for controlling The stepper motor by step/dir signals. I have never used the card, so if you are interested I can sell it to you. (Send me a pm) I use the Xylotex car for my cncrouter: http://forum.modellflynytt.no/showthread.php?t=6973 |

There is a software that runs under XP, and that works with SMC800 : http://www.cncplayer.com/main/cpdl.html Great software, easier to use than PCNC SMC ! Grégos |

| hi I also bought a smc800 and regret I haven't done a bit research on software before. After spending some hours of googling I've found a german program that is able to control the smc800, it supports dxf and hpgl files: http://home.arcor.de/thoradam/Programme.htm Right now I'm writing a vb program that reads gCode and controls the smc800 card. But since my router isn't finished yet the program is more like a gCode simulator at the moment. If I ever finish this program I certainly will share it with the other few smc800 owners... |
