I need to know where to enter my encoder info. Mach3 or the servocongfig software. Im using 500 line encoders that do 2000 counts per revolution. Thank you in advance. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk |

| Are your encoders connected to the dugong amps or to diff. inputs that feed into mach 3? I'm trying to decide where to connect mine at the moment. I don't think the dugong tuning software will work unless they're directly connected to the amps, but I'd like to have them feedback actual position into linux-cnc instead of being hidden behind a stepgen. I know linux-cnc requires a resolution number for each axis that reflects the number of steps needed to travel an inch. Probably mach3 does too, but the number will depend on the settings for your dugong drives and how they convert steps to motion. Erik |
