I discovered today my machine HAS homing switches, which is great! Got them working right. Taught myself how to set up soft limits, and have that working right. What I can NOT figure out is how to get consistent offsets to persist through powerups... After I set a new offset (hit Zero at X1, Y1, Z1 with respect to the homing machine position of 0,0,0) and hit "got to Zero", it uses the offset (it returns to machine position 1,1,1 - the new offset 0,0,0). HOWEVER, if I power off and back on (or just close MACH3 and reopen it), and rehome, the machine and offsets return to machine 0,0,0 (the 1,1,1 offset is lost). What am I doing wrong? I would like to have the machine home to machine 0,0,0, then reset the offset to a known value relative to that position, and set the offset 0,0,0 at that new position... Does that make sense? If so, can someone describe what I need to do to get the function? |

| Hi, I think you need to go to Config->General Config and in the lower right hand corner you tick the option Persistant Offsets. This will save the offsets when you exit. If you also tick the Optional Fixture Save it will, on exit, ask you if you want to save them. /Henrik. |
