    need help z axis go up ?

    hi iam newbie please i have funny problem after load gcode i press start my z axis should engraving into wood i gose oppisiet it go up ? how it will engraiving down not up please? thanks.

    Look at your G code to see if your Z moves are -Z.010 you need to have a negative number

    i did in gcode is G0 Z1.0000 and i can not make it negative number can you or anyone tell me please how to make it go down many thanks

    z0 is normally the top of the part in most cases
    if you want to cut into the part the value has to be neg. z1.0 is one inch above. assuming inch's on mill and not metric.


    If you DRO is goes from 0 to 1 and your cutter is going down, then your direction in mach is backward for that axis.

    "G0 Z-1.0000" is the correct code to go down 1mm or inch on a mill in Mach3. The other option is to reverse the axis direction in the setup.
