hi iam newbie please i have funny problem after load gcode i press start my z axis should engraving into wood i gose oppisiet it go up ? how it will engraiving down not up please? thanks. Last edited by alkoche; 09-06-2010 at 11:50 AM. |

| z0 is normally the top of the part in most cases if you want to cut into the part the value has to be neg. z1.0 is one inch above. assuming inch's on mill and not metric. If you DRO is goes from 0 to 1 and your cutter is going down, then your direction in mach is backward for that axis. |

"G0 Z-1.0000" is the correct code to go down 1mm or inch on a mill in Mach3. The other option is to reverse the axis direction in the setup. |
