Keeping Tool Offsets at Zero? | | Before running a job on my CNC router, I like to zero X,Y,and Z to make sure there are no surprise moves. I also like to see the work offsets on the Offsets Screen at zero for the same reason (I'm a little paranoid after several dozen unexpected moves in the past). But after my machine has been running for a while, numbers show up in the Work Offset DRO's on the Offsets Screen, and I cannot figure out how to zero them and X,Y and Z at the same time, before running the next job. Sometimes they stay there even after shutting down and restarting Mach.
On my General Config I have unchecked Persistent Offsets and Persistent DRO, and my intialization string has G80 (only) in it. I also have unchecked "use initialization string after reset", thinking that would mess up a G code file if I had to reset in the middle of it, and then try to restart.
So my questions
1. Is there someway to keep work offsets at zero while zeroing X,Y and Z?
2. Is there an intialization string I could use to do this..and what is it?
3. Should I simply not sweat the work offset DRO's?
Thanks,
