Will Mach 3 work with the new Sieg KC6 lathe?

Just wondering if this software will work with this new cnc lathe coming from Sieg?

Yes, no reason at all why not, in fact two are being converted in the UK at this moment.

what do you mean they are being converted? doesn't the KC6 lathe only work with the Siemans controller? if it can be used with the Mach3 software then what cnc controller box is going to be used? who is going to make one? will it be available here in the usa?

They are being converted from the manual C6 lathe from the ground up.
The controller boxes may vary as these are two separate products by two people but will use a similar controller to the one ArcEuroTrade is using on their CNC mill.

I can't comment on whether anyone is going to make a controller for this lathe in the US as I'm UK based.

A controller isn't all the world to make for a lathe, it's a power supply two drivers, a breakout board and a spindle encoder set up to run with mach3.

What you need to be doing is asking Sieg if they have any plans on releasing a Mach based lathe, or converting a C6 yourself.

Did you guys even check the website? First place I would look.

You have your choice of Mach3, Siemans, or their own controller.
