Mach2 -> lathe Questions and suggestions plz

First , thanks for place like this.

I would like to know maybe there is some great tutorial how to Lathe with mach2(or maybe who have done this could give me consultation please).And next thing is i would like to know how to make items(for example chair leg).
I am having problem with this.I tried making it with Autocad2006(and with coreldraw) then i translated it to DXF and then with mach2 imported as dxf and generated as gcode.
And then it looks wierd in that 3d panel(in mach2).And when i try to run the program it cuts something ... but i only neded that it makes leg..
I mean cuts ... it is like cube and then it does some lines , lines ... well mayeb its right ... dunno , maybe somone have some suggestion which program to use.

Hi,
You could try downloading mach 3,this is set up better for lathes and has some in-built wizards that will give you a better understanding of what's going on,also when inporting a dfx file into mach 2 don't forget to check the lathe mode box,hope this help's.
