Greetings all, I recently obtained a rhino robotics ltd. st/6 cnc lathe. It is in excellent shape and has about 1 hr of run time on it. I have no software to interface with the onboard drive board and was wondering if mach3 lathe would work. according to the limited information i have, the machine works on fanuc g-m codes, and is supposed to come with a dos based program for an external computer. i've called the company 2 times and e-mailed them once, but have yet to receive any reply. All of the electronics are intact (visual) except it is missing the serial-to-parallel cable. The mfg has a pinout schematic on their website, but I don't want to "let the genie out" just yet! Any help welcome. gadget |

| I took a look at that pinout, and it leads me to believe there's some type of board that accepts commands via serial port. Mach3 won't work with that. If the drives accept step and direction signals, you can probably bypass the serial port and connect the drives to a parallel port and then Mach3 can control them.
