Look two threads above this one.

If you haven't yet bought any Mach3 specific hardware, consider UCCNC. Very similar to Mach3, but less buggy, more modern, and still supported and developed. Cheaper, too.

GRBL uses the tool diameter as well in the config. Im just about to upgrade to the Geko 540 Drivers. would i require a UNCNC licence or just the Parallel to USB adaptor?

It's not a parallel to USB adapter. Are you referring to the UC100, or some other device?
To use UCCNC, you need a UCCNC license, which is $60, and a CNC Drive motion controller, like a UC100, UC400ETH, or UC300ETH.

thats correct. thank you for the info.

Does UCCNC have the edge finder zeroing function or does it work same as mach3 using scripts?

Ive had a look at the UCCNC 2017 screen set and it looks awesome and had corner zeroing.

Can i set the two offsets on my plate ( x = 9.46 and y 10.08) within the screen set?

Also using the geko 540 can i wire 6 limit switches and a x y z probe using uccnc?

No, you'd need to edit the macros to do that.
I'm currently in the early stages of redoing the entire screen, and will add that to my todo list. It's going to be a few months before it's finished, though.
