Script for calculating tool lenght difference ?
I would like to have a script or macro to use for calculating the tool lenght difference and updating the z zero for the new tool.
I run my parts in multiple programs without tool change in program.
I first use my probe to get the z zero on top of part with the tool that program use, but when changing program I have a problem to do the same if the parts whole area are being cut (the original part top is no longer there).
So between programs I would like to put the touch plate on the table and probe the original tool first, change tool, probe the new tool and update the part z zero.
Can someone help me with the script or macro for doing this ?
I work in metric.
