I have only played with Mach 1 and 2 but if Art used the same limit for the master 5 demo as he did with Mach 1/2 then you have 1000 lines of Gcode that it will do.
I tried out the demo version for the first time last night. Very nice. (I have been running Turbocnc). Couple of questions:
How is the demo limited?
Is there a display to show if I am in incremental vs absolute (G91/G90) mode? (I see a red "ABSOLUTE" but it stayed that way when I went into G91)
The calibration screen shows units for speed and acceleration. What are these units?
Thanks,
Bill.

Hi Bill:
There is no indicator in M5 to show abs vs incremnetal mode in the interpreter. The units in the motor tuning is in units/second for velocity and units/sec/sec for acceleration. M5 takes a biot of playing around to get these right for your machine. If your in XP or 2000, try Mach1/2, they are much easier and more intuitive.

Thanks Jeff and Art.
I am running W98 on a P3-500 computer. Not sure I want to try W2k on this machine.
I am going to play around with M5 on W98 for a while longer - l'll bet as I read more about the advantages of M1/M2, the upgrade will be more likely.
