    Default problem in autozero tool

    Hello.
    I use mach3 and also mach3 2010
Never had any issue with autozero tool..
    But...

    I have this configuration

    AutoZero Settings:

    X -22.000
    Y +220.000
    Plate Thickness: +20.000
    Clearance Plane +30.000
    Material Offset +21.000

Every time that i make a autozero in Z axis manually the coordinates are ok..

The tool goes 30mm above the material...

When i insert a .txt with the "Z0" on the top of the material...
On the tool change the software marks the "Z0", not in the top of the material but on the base of the table..

Goes to only 10mm above the material and not 30mm

I press "FeedHold" button move manually to the autozero i do again another "Z0" and the coordinates stays ok...

    30mm above the material...

Always used this configuration and never had problem...

    Turn off material offet.
With Material Offset on, you are setting the top of your part to Z=21, so when it moves to Z30 it's only 9mm above the part.

If i do that turn off the material offset the "Z0" is on the table and when starts to cut, goes in to the table and not the top of the material...
Goes to 30mm above the table and not 30mm above the material to cut...
I want that when i send machine to "Z0" the tool stays on the top of the material... And then go to 30mm above...
    Manually does this...
When uses M6 the machines assumes the "Z0" at the bottom of the table and not on the top of the material to be cut...

Is your zero plate on the table, or on top of your part?

The "Z0" is on the top of the part...

I don't now if this this correct.. But i think:

    The part has 21mm thickness

The fixed plate has 20mm thickness..

Put this values on the Tool Change..

    Plate Thickness: +20.000
    Material Offset: +21.000
    Clearance Plane: +30.000

Then the tool when makes M6 goes above the part 30mm
    Correct?

You don't use the fixed plate thickness, you use the movable plate thickness.
Where are you using your movable plate? On the table, or on the part?

im using the fixed plate to make the "Z0"
Since the tool change is in the same position i use that for the rest...
    Wrong?

That's fine, if the fixed plate is on the table.
Then the plate thickness is 20, and Material Offset is 21, and should work, if the Material Offset box is checked.

    Manually works ok..
Only when makes M6 and do automatically the Z0 is when goes wrong on the height of Z0
Marks the zero on the bottom of the table and not in top of the part...
    If the cut is ex:
    -10mm
    The tool cut the table..

Are you running the initial auto zero before the M6?

The Initial Auto Zero stores the fixed plate location, which is used during the M6.

    Yes.
Before i start the program i always make the Inicial Auto Zero in the Fixed Plate..
Then when appears M6 goes to the fixed plate change the tool, press Cycle Start, the machine does the "Z0" but when rize only go 9mm +/-
    above the part...
I click on "feedhold", the i move the tool to fixed plate, i make again the "Z0" and then the tool goes 30mm above the top of the part...

Are you using the parallel port, or a motion controller? If motion controller, which one?
    What version of Mach3?

You said it used to work, then stopped working? Your Mach3 install or .xml may have become corrupted?

I don't really have any other answer.

If it worked before, then that should tell you that there's nothing wrong with the macros.

    Here's what the macros do.
When you run the initial auto zero, it first sets Z zero, relative to your part.
It then moves to the fixed plate, touches the plate, and save the plates position. In your case, the plate location that gets saved should be -1, as it should be 1mm lower than the top of your part, correct?
Then, when the M6 macro runs, it should touch the plate, and the Z DRO should be set to -1. Watch it, and see what it gets set to?

Im using paralell port and the last version of mach3

Yes the touch plate is -1mm of the material.

Manually set the machine and it's all ok...

Only in the M6 move is when the Z gets wrong...

im going to reinstall again mach3 and 2010

    Maybe some file be corrupted..

Because in previous works or days.. i didn't have any issue with this...
Now im finish a new assembly of the machine.. i will install again then i will say if is ok or not..
Thanks for the help and your time.

    :-)

    Regards.

Try using 3.043.062, rather than the latest version.
