1/8 microstepping should be smoother, with really no cons.
Can anyone tell the pros and cons of microstep 1/8 & 1/4 I use the machine to cave 3D wood

my machine is much faster set at 1/4 but will i still get a fine finish
The question, is why is it faster? Does it stall when you use 1/8 microstepping, or are you maxed out on your steps/second?
