I have an idea to translate this screenset to other languages. Now I'm thinking about German and Italian. But others can be added. What do you think about it?

I think the trend in UI development is to move away from text labeling so translation is not necessary. But a good idea is to make language lookup tables so users have the option of customizing their own language.

I agree with you. But there is no one standard for CNC functions markig. Of course, the symbols for the same functions are very similar to each other but every CNC manufacturer slightly changes them. Besides, if user is not very skilled, he (she) will be confused without text labels.

A lookup table is a good idea. I'll think about it. Thanks!

No, it shouldn't. What screen resolution do you use?

I've found a problem! You should make following steps and uncheck "Auto Screen enlarge" option.

Try turning off Auto Screen Enlarge in General Config, and restarting Mach3.

Better aspect ratio, but still some random buttons at the bottom.. I've got 2880 x 1620 on my laptop. Nice job btw, with proper resolutions and some cleanup this could be a winner!

You're only real option is to drag a window to fit the actual screen resolution. Unfortunately, many Mach3 screens don't scale well. They certainly won't scale up to a larger size, as they are bitmap based.

Modifying the screen to fit a higher resolution like your laptop would require re-creating the entire screen at the larger resolution.

Thank you for that info. I don,t like the idea of having "hidden" buttons on a machine that can remove your fingers in less than 0.1 sec.

I've just removed these buttons. Thank you. I left only two additional buttons to be able to use several keys for feed holding and starting / resuming program execution.

    Version V1.4 is on site.

The new version V1.5 is ready!
    - Diagnostics mode
    - "GotoSafeZ" function

Check it New Free MACH 3 Screenset | YARA-AUTOMATION

I took GotoSafeZ function just from original screenset, but it works pretty strange. When I press it, the machine moves to Safe Z position, then to X0Y0 position, and then to Z0 position. I thought the machine has to move only in Safe Z coordinates. Is it normal?

    Hi to everyone!
Some changes since my last visit:
    1. Version 1.6 is on site
    - separated Referencing on X, Y, Z or A Axis
    - all out-of-screen buttons were cleaned up

    2. We've finally started a "Multilingual Free MACH 3 screenset" project. You can become a part of it.

There are probably 15-20 motion controllers that don't require the parallel port. Throw out the chinese ones, which I wouldn't recommend, and you still have a 8-10 good ones.
CS Labs makes arguably the best. They also support analog servos.
Vital systems makes high end controllers, with analog servo support.
CNC Drives products are good, and inexpensive.
    The highly popular ESS.
    And others.

I have used Galil Motion over the years and it spoiled me, the major issue is a decent front end.
Other that that is the closest I have found to a commercial CNC.

It is designed for 1280x786px resolution. I think all wide screen monitors can be used.

Instead of PP you can use USB controllers but for me LPT works well because in my workstation LPT controller is located very close to PC motherboard and the length of cable is not more than 200mm.

I make compact operator panels using the Maple Systems touch screen panel PC's (All in one) they have SVGA 800x480. TFT screens so I need to tailor to this resolution.
Most industrial CNC's have ran on this (10"-12") screen size.

I've checked Maple's panel PC pricing and it is quite expensive ( 1700$ ). For 1300$ we make a full Industrial PC ( workstation 1.8 Ghz, 2Gb, 8Gb hdd, 10" TFT, Rugged waterproof keyboard ) and monitor's resolution is 1280*768.

Anyway, you can resize MACH3 window to suit your screen size but small labels and text can be difficult to read.
