Benny this is what Art has needed from the beginning. He has a pretty good radio voice too! I am going to have to start on Mach3 now!

Yeh, I have resisted for ages the swapover since its not just a matter of swapping XML files over. Its finally configured with a bit of help from Art.
For any Rutex R990mb users who have 3 axis servo drives and the 4 relay card, I have uploaded the XML file that Art made for me. This should give you a bit of a head start in configuring the setup. Obviuosly you will still need to configure the steps per unit to suit your machine. But all the rest should be right.

I downloaded and because of the size went off for a while. When I came back the video was playing. It's seems like the file didn't actually download to my PC. I searched my HD for the file and can't find it.
What I saw I really liked, but would like to see it from the beginning and have the chance to replay portions.
Whats the trick to really download the file, or find it.
I checked the properties of the file and the filename didn't show up in the search.
    Thanks
    Hager

right click on "download" and choose save as. Your browser is probably configure to automatically play if you left click on "download".

I just started viewing the videos (excellent BTW) and I noticed that the downloaded version of mach3 screens are different than the ones in the video.

Where can I obtain the shown ones? they are much nicer.

EDIT: I was trying the beta version, just downloaded the R1.81 and shows the video screens. Nice

    Thanks

I think I will dream hearing the voice speaking in the videos

    Question:

in the Coordinate systems video, minute 5 of play it shows how to jog around the table to reposition the work, Im trying to repeat the movement but I always end moving the whole setup in 3D and not in the X-Y plane as shown.

Whats the technique for jogging around the table?

EDIT: I hate trying something for hours, but I love finding the solution : jogging around the table is done using the cursor keys, not the mouse as the rest of the tutorial, the voice in off should tell that !!

    Thanks

    Pablo

Another Bump for this thread.....For newbies, there couldn't be a better resource. This I'm sure was a significant amount of effort and I just wanted to thank everyone involved. It is not many companies that would have this much support available before the sale!

    Thanks for the bump rcotteleer.
You are so right about the amount of support you get.

    Also....
How many software writers allow free updates for more than 3 years after initail purchse?
How many software writers constantly change the software according to user requests?
How many software writers are directly available on a forum to answer questions, usually withing hours of them been asked.

Owing Mach3 is more than owning some software, its also a membership of great club of like minded users.

Well worth $159 bucks. Not to mention all the new things that are soon coming.

None that I can think of Benny,
A good time to purchase, even though I am not ready, it will make a great last minute tax deduction, (One of the few benefits of being self employed) and it will also be one more thing out of the way in regards to necessary purchases.
