Default Z zero reset - gcode?

    Hi forum,

i am post processing from camworks to Mach 3 and need to sort an issue which re-occurs

    Situation:

code operates all ok with exception of Z-height- I am assuming somewhere there is either a tool offset or reset of Z zero (stock surface)

i use a script to set tool zero (XY also set to start position) - on run and on cycle start the mill seems to reset z level.

anyone have a pointer on the gcode i should be look (g code newbie)

Are you using your own script? Some kind and awesome gentleman posted an add on for setting zeros in one of the forums here. X, Y, and Z. It's great. No need to write your own. If that's the one you're using, I can assure you that the fault is not with the program he wrote, because that thing works awesome for me.

As for camworks, I have no idea. But if you want input from someone, a screenshot of the code is probably the best way to achieve that goal.

I think this issue is around camworks-> Mach3

its doing some crazy stuff that is not making much sense, i am guessing camworks is putting some smarts into the g-code which between Mach3 and the sherline its not working (SIGH)

Look for G43 in the code, Tool Length Offset.
