Default REF ALL HOME is interrupted by Limit switch

    Hey all!

I have DDUM6 USB Mach3 controller and everything is working fine, except "REF ALL HOME".

    - I have same limit and home switches

If I configure all switches as HOME ONLY in input and I press "REF ALL HOME" following happens:

    - Z homes - OK
    - X homes OK
    - Y doesn't even do anything

If I go to Diagnostics and press Ref Y, also Y homes OK

If I configure same switch for either X--,Z--,Y-- or ++ and press "REF ALL HOME", then homing starts and when switch is triggered I immediately get "Limit switch is activated, check your axises position". I also monitored Diagnostics screen and when switch is reached both "M1Home" and "M1--Limit" light up...as they actually should, but somehow LIMIT IS NOT IGNORED IN HOMING PROCEDURE...

Now I somehow suspect the Chinese DDUM6 driver, could it be that!? Also why does my Y axis not home with "REF ALL HOME", but it does with "Ref Y"....I struggled for hours....

    Thank you!

What does your homing script look like?

Do the REF'd LED's light up before the limit switch error?
This usually happens when noise triggers the input.

    It's possible.

I have no clue, didn't change anything (must be default). Where can I check that?

I will check that, but I did try all kind of suggested noise resolvers as setting debounce to 2000. Same issue remains.

Debounce likely will have no effect with a motion controller. Some motion controllers have their own noise filter settings in their plugins.

    Hello Gerry!

    I did some additional debugging:

    - There is no additional setting for something similar in plugin
    - Refd leds do not light up...The only one that light up immediately are Limit and Home for the given axis
    - I disconnected all switch cables and triggered the contact between +12V and given assigned input port directly on board. Same issue - so noise is not an issue
    - Also checked the Ref All Home script and it is default one

So somehow limit declaration is still triggered despite the homing procedure

I'm suprised you have got that far with it. That's the worst board on the market.

DIsable the limits in Ports and Pins and see if you can Ref All. If you can, or if the switches trigger early, than I'd say that it's noise.

    Hello Jon!

Any suggestions on alternatives in similar price range for USB or Ethernet (I see that is popular too)?

After in-depth study of the problem with the boards DDREAM CNC, DDUM4 v1.0, DDUM5 v1.0, DDUM6, DDUM3 v1.0 turned out that the problem is associated with the program.
It turned out that the data controllers (DDUM4, DDUM5, DDUM6, DDUM3) stably operate without errors.
If you need a stable operation of the controller, it is necessary to use the program DrufelCNC.
For DrufelCNC version of the program, write email Drufel (a) list.ru or visit drufel.ru

I just overcome the same problem with a DDSM5V5.0- found that it miss's the 3-and 4th step in the button command for REF AlL home- I simply went too, edit button script (under operator, then click on the flashing icon for Ref all home) made it so it REF Z,Y,X,X,X,A had to add 2 extra steps.think it was button 24,23,22,22,22,then 25 (if you have got this far im sure you can work it out. and it now works perfect, i do find the odd occasion it will reference the X Twice but very very few times. I Hope this helps others out. NOT IMPRESSED WITH THIS Digital dream junk DDream Fastercnc, ect ect

Im still having Soft limit dramas it wont slow the machine, just drives through the limit, and locks me out with Soft limits.
