Is Mach 4 fully functional now?
3axis go for uccnc and a uc400 motion controller. Better than Mach imo.
Can anyone recommend any breakout / controller boards for Mach4 that they have been really pleased with?
Thankd
Adam

Thanks Jon. I'm working with a clean slate for cutting soft metals. Planing on a gantry design with a 24x24" working area and about a 5" Z axis. Do you recommend any other control hardware to go with this? Any preferred supplier?
All the best,
Adam
I'm using the PMDX 411 controller which is a USB to Parallel configuration which I'm pleased with. When I rebuild my control box, I will probably go with one of there other solutions that is USB to USB.
Best Regards.

Get a UC400ETH and UCCNC, it is much smoother and more reliable than Mach and even cheaper.
Jon, this thread was posted in the uccnc forum, seems like a moderator relocated it.
I do not have a UC300, only a UC100 and a UC400ETH, they seems to work the same. but with the ethernet I could get a 25meters connection to my control PC without issues which is great as my plasma machine is large and I don't like the control PC close to the plasma source and the plasma dust which is really nasty stuff.
