I need basic help with setting up the collet adapter in the spindle. I see that the collet it threaded. I threaded it into the spindle. It goes in about 1/2" of threads. When I get to the top, it free-wheels. I have read about drawbar systems, but this unit clearly doesn't have a drawbar. T here is a knob at the top that is part of the spindle system. Turning it doesn't seem to have an effect. I have looked at the exploded parts diagram - it seems that I am to do something with the knob at the top, but I haven't found the magic yet. I am surprised that there is nothing in the kit that explains this basic function. Can you point me in the right direction. Obviously I have never use any mill before. Thanks. |
