    Huanyang VFD HAL Component

Huanyang VFD's have become popular with the router guys as they are coming out of China cheep with spindles. However, even though they have a RS485 comms capability, the comms protocol is not Modbus compliant.

This makes interfacing via ClassicLadder undoable. I have release a beta testing version of hy_vfd HAL user space component. It has its roots in vfs11_vfd and libmodbus but these have been re-writen to use the Huanyang serial potocol (Huanyang - Modbus).

Included in the beta release is a pyVCP panel which is handy for testing.

Code is posted in this thread:

I hope people find this useful and add to the user base of EMC2.

Now just to hack homing.c to work with gantrykins without distroying the machine......

Did you ever solve your gantrykins problem? I am embarking on a gantrykins project of my own and am having a tough time finding good, consistent info.

    Thx.
