I have a question about the l297 .. when i give 5v to the vcc to the l297 i get all outputs high(A,B,C,D) .even if clock is grounded, reset is grounded, enable is high, cw/ccw is low and so is half/full.no other pins have been connected, so theyre floating.any idea why im not getting the correct home position? The idea is to attach clock to emc but i want to make sure the translators working properly so im generating clock signals from a microcontroller. any suggestions as to what could be wrong? could it be the chip itself? thanks harsha |
