Is there a command I can assign to a button to home an axis or all axis?

Yes if you connect a button to Halui:
halui.joint.x.home
That will home axis x
Are you using stepconf for building configurations?
Do you mean connect a real button through the parallel port?

I used stepconf at first but not using anymore. It seemed to over-write one of the files I kept having to make backups then I have like 12 backup directories. Its easier for me to edit the files myself.

That sounds like it would do the trick. I am trying to connect an external pin to via the parallel port to trigger all-axis home. As long as I have the emc pin I can code it to the button no problem, thanks.
