    zero axis

On Mach-3 I assigned pushbuttons to ZERO out my axis. Can EMC do this?

For example in "MACH", when I turn machine on for the day, it HOMES all three axis to the minimum limit switches. THEN, I load my part in the middle of the machine jog to the lower left corner, and ZERO my X,Y (Press on-screen buttons). I spin-down the "Z" until it touches the top of the part, and ZERO Z. Then I RUN my G-Code program.

Is there something obvious I skipped over trying to read the documents? Or must I do something else? I know in MACH there is absolute machine coordinates, and the working coordinates, which are two different systems, obviously I wouldn't want my machine to trip a soft-limit past -.05 on the "X" if I was jogging around in the middle of the table area.
