SIM-homing question (warning dumb newbie)

Hello everyone,
OK I have now successfully installed EMC2 on Hardy Heron. I have been reading the PDF's and running 'EMC-HAL-SIM-AXIS' The first time through works just fine. When I try to home the spindle again I get an error. "Cannot home while shared switch is closed'
'Unhoming' does not help nor does manualy jogging the spindle. I see a comment about setting a bit in the INI file to allow homing if the switch is closed. I'm not sure if this is what I need to do, plus I don't really know where the INI file is?? Are the switchs latching type or are we talking about a bit that gets set on the time the spindle is homed? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hmm, fixed it, I forgot to turn on the dummy bit.! As Rose Anna Rose Anna on SNL used to say "Never Mind"
