I have a requirement for a signal which would be representativeo the XY speed of the tool ( not velocity of the two axes) but actual speed of the tip of the tool as it moves across the work platten on my gantry mill. I can easily plug into step pulse train of the two axes but that will not give me surface speed of the tool. Is there a way of configuring the hal interface and outputing either a train of pulses whose frequency is the analog of the speed or else a fixed frequency variable duty cycle pulse train whose duty cycle is the analog of surface speed? |
