    Changing units from inch/mm

    I've got a hold of some sample g code that's in mm's.

I configured my cnc setup in inches, so emc is interpreting all the numbers in inches. Is there a way to tell axis to do the conversion to mm on the fly? 55mm isnt much, but when my gantry moves 55 inches some bad stuff may happen...

Or do I have to a script to scale everything appropriately in a perl script or something?

    Dear margni74,

This is probably no help at all, but ....

    1 inch = 25.4 millimetres.

    Exactly, and without any short-cuts.

    Best wishes,

    Martin
