Hi All, I am trying to configure EMC2 for a homebuilt CNC router and have managed to get all the three axis working under EMC2, now I am trying to ensure my limit switches are working. I have setup a limit switch for each axis and plan on using that as a home + limit switch. My question - when I click on test axis within the stepconf program and step an axis would manually triggering the limit switch stop the stepping? I have been testing and it appears that the test axis dialog ignores the limit switch and continues moving is that the case? Thanks Jay |

| I think you are correct. I don't believe stepconf monitors the limits at all. It is designed to test the stepper motors and the setup values for them. The rest of the things that stepconf allows you to set up must be tested in emc2 (limits, spindle control, charge pump, etc.). Alan

| Alan, Chester88 Thanks for the confirmation. I ran EMC2 and confirmed the limit switches are working so like you mentioned the stepconf ignores the limit switches. Now to get the proper directions configured for all the axis and I should be all set. Jay |
