Did you do a latency test?
What version of EMC are you using?
Are you using stepconf to build the configuration?
what stepper timing numbers did you use?
what acceleration and max speed did you use?
    First try lowering your acceleration.

as far as your dxf file, you need to convert it into G-code somehow. There are a lot of packages out there. I could shoot you a test file, but I use Mach3 so I am sure there would be some issues. you might be able to find an EMC forum and someone there might be able to give you a test file.
maybe this link will help some?

You make it pretty tough to help by not answering questions and giving vague descriptions of what you have done.
What settings did you play with? what file did you change or are you using stepconf?
    what was the error message?

I went trough my first configuration less than two weeks ago so I am bu no means an expert. But I did write a lot of it down on my website.

From what you say it is difficult to check what you have and have not done...
But maybe you find some help in my struggles:

    Chris,

Did you get it working? If not, Chester asked you some questions that you didn't answer. Answering them would be very helpful to us in trying to help you. So to repeat what Chester said:

Did you do a latency test?
What version of EMC are you using?
Are you using stepconf to build the configuration?
what stepper timing numbers did you use?
what acceleration and max speed did you use?
