Is there any proprierty front ends distributed with the live cd Ubuntu 8.04?
"License is tainting kernel" ???

The kernel has a couple layers of security. Basically, the level of development of EMC is such that they do not allow the driver full kernel rights. It operates on a more limited set of system calls. This is fairly normal for drivers and for programs that make system calls.

This is a normal and correct message when booting this kernel and driver.
