I am using IM483 drivers (Intelligent Motion System). I found these specs in the user manual in a table named 'Logic Input Timing', but I am not clear how I interpret them for the driver timing settings in EMC. (Specification) (Input) (Time) Min Pulse Width, Reset, 500nS, Min Pulse Width, Step Clock, 75nS, Typical Execution Time, Step Clock, 100nS, Typical Execution Time, Direction, 100nS, Would Step Time be 75nS or 100nS? and Step Space?????? Directin Hold and Setup?????? Any insight into understanding this data and/or how to determine these settings would be much appreciated. Cheers, Dan |

| One of the EMC gurus says 75ns steplen, 100ns stepspace, 100ns dirspace, probably 100ns dirhold I got that like this: steplen=step clock width, stepspace="step execution time", dirsetup and dirhold both="direction execution time" That is the fastest timing I've ever seen so if it does not work increase the values and test in the Stepconf. If this is ok let me know and I'll add it to the list at wiki... John |
